My why

About Me

Growing up in the all-too-common abuse-ridden household, I clung to my ‘why’ desperately. Beyond the trauma driven overachieving fancy paperwork, I have always had a strong purpose rooted in helping others. The ‘how’ of that has showed up in many different ways throughout my life, but what has remained constant is my love and empathy for others and my deep desire to help others ignite their connection to their own purpose driven life. I have spent the past two decades immersing myself in the study of healing and personal transformation and I have worked in various health related positions facilitating individuals healing journeys. Although my work and education have provided me with a solid foundation of how to help, I believe that my most invaluable tool is my lived experience. I understand the process of going from helpless, hopeless and alone to empowered, purpose-filled, and connected and I can equip you with the tools to do the same. I believe that much of, if not all, of human suffering is a product of disconnection. This disconnection from self and others creates dis-ease and distress. Together we will work to help reconnect you with your purpose and values, leading to greater authenticity and increased functioning in all areas of life.

LIFE COACHING $100-$120

I offer personalized life coaching to help you unlock your full potential. I take a holistic multimodal approach to address each individuals’ unique goals to reach optimal health and functioning. I will meet you where you’re at and tailor a plan for your personal needs.

$120 Initial Session (up to 90 minutes)
$100 subsequent 60 minute sessions

Reiki with AromaTouch Technique $80

Combining the ancient Japanese practice with the healing benefits of dōTERRA essential oils and touch, this technique provides your nervous system with the conditions to reduce stress, release tension and restore balance and wellbeing.

15% discount for booking 6+ sessions

Making healing services accessible is very important to me. You will find that my standard rates are far below the average in the area, but I am still willing to work with you to setup a payment plan that allows you to access services.

What is your coaching philosophy?

My coaching philosophy is based on the belief that every individual has the power to achieve their goals and create an authentic fulfilling life. I work with clients to identify their strengths and values, and help them create a plan of action to achieve their desired outcomes. I have a very interconnected view of the world and believe that we are responsible for healing together as a collective. This perspective allows me to maintain a nonjudgmental and compassionate perspective rooted in unconditional positive regard for each client. We are all in this together!

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with all clients who are committed to personal growth and achieving their goals. I believe that all individuals have the capacity for change and healing, and as long as you are committed to doing the work, you can unlock your potential for a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

What sets you apart from other life coaches?

I have a background in psychology and a deep understanding of human behavior and motivation. I believe that true change comes not just from setting goals, but from understanding the underlying beliefs and patterns that may be holding us back. My life experience brings a unique perspective in knowing first hand what the process entails and allows me to use this insight to better connect with clients.

What is the difference between a therapist and a life coach?

Depending on who you see, there might not seem like a difference. However, the theoretical foundations driving the professions are quite different. Traditional psychotherapy requires a diagnosis. This inherently brings about a case conceptualization rooted in pathologizing the client’s behavior. Life coaches do not have to work within the confines of such a system and instead can take a more holistic client-led strengths and solution focused approach. I do not want this to be interpreted as speaking poorly regarding traditional therapy or anyone working in that field, I see it as an essential part of growth and wellness, and it has been part of my own journey for decades!

What does the name of your business (Lokahi Life Coaching) mean?

Lokahi is a Hawaiian term meaning harmony and unity. It represents a way of living grounded in alignment of all facets: Mind, Body, Soul and Humans, Earth/Nature, and Gods. My grandmother, a critical person in my healing journey, was from Hawaii. I have been fortunate enough to visit there several times in this life and it is the place where I feel instantly connected and at home.

Where do we meet for sessions?

I have a working space at the address below, but I can also meet you at a local coffee shop, or in a park. It really is about what makes the process most helpful for you. Because of the interpersonal nature of coaching sessions, in-person meetings are preferred and encouraged, but in special circumstances and/or for check-ins, I can conduct sessions via phone calls.
